My research lies at the intersection of political economy, formal theory, comparative politics, and international relations with a primary focus on non-democratic regimes. I develop game-theoretic models of strategic interaction among political, economic, and international actors under these asymmetries and study how their choices shape protest, regime survival, market structure, and economic behavior. I complement this formal agenda with empirical research on the political legacies of war and experimental work on protest mobilization and political communication.
